WuW (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

  • •Account info — name, email address, and optionally a phone number and avatar
  • •Watch activity — shows and movies you add to your queue, your ratings, and recommendations you send or receive
  • •Friend connections — who you add to your network
  • •Device info — push notification tokens so we can send you cue alerts
  • •Contacts (iOS only, with your permission) — phone numbers from your address book are sent to our server to find friends already on WuW. We do not store your contacts.

How We Use Your Data

  • •Provide core app features: queue tracking, recommendations, cue notifications, and friend matching
  • •Send push notifications when your cue threshold is met
  • •Improve and maintain the service

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Third-Party Services

  • •Supabase — authentication, database, and real-time subscriptions (stores your account and app data)
  • •Vercel — hosting and deployment (routes web traffic)
  • •TMDB — movie and TV show metadata such as titles, posters, and descriptions (no user data shared). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
  • •Watchmode — streaming availability and deep links (no user data shared)

What Others Can See

  • •Your first name, last initial, and avatar are visible to all authenticated users
  • •Your ratings contribute to aggregate scores visible to other users — individual ratings are never shown
  • •Recommendations are visible only to the sender and recipient
  • •Your email, phone, queue, and notification settings are visible only to you

Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Account deletion is permanent and immediately removes all of your data, including your queue, ratings, recommendations, and friend connections. This cannot be undone.

Children's Privacy

WuW is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.
